CasinoCanada launches Levels: earn XP, climb tiers and unlock tournaments
CasinoCanada.com has launched Levels, a progression system for the registered users. You can now earn experience points (XP) for participating in our free social slot tournaments and the forum activity, writing reviews and simply coming back, so that the XP moves you through 50 levels and five tiers.
A couple of weeks ago we launched My Account feature as a proper home for your login. The Levels are the next step turning the things you already do on CasinoCanada into your visible progress.
Now we explain to you how the Levels function for the qualified users.
Every account now has a level
If you're logged in, look at the top left of any page. The avatar with your initials has been replaced by a small badge showing your tier icon and level number, for example "1 lvl". Tap it and you go straight to your account.
Inside My Account, the side panel now shows your tier, your current level and a progress bar with the XP you need for the next one. The full picture is placed in the Tournaments tab, which now opens with a new Player Experience block.
How XP is earned
XP comes from activities making CasinoCanada more useful for everyone, so the ones that help other players most are worth the most. Here are four steps to follow for earning more XP:
Tournaments. Play a session in any of our free social slot tournaments with virtual credits and climb the leaderboard to receive your 50 XP. Finish in the top 10 and get 300 XP. When you win the board, you are granted with as much as 500 XP.
Reviews. A casino review brings you 150 XP and a game review earns 100 XP. A quick star rating on a casino or a game is equal to 10 XP. When other users mark your review as helpful, you get a little more.
Forum. Starting a new discussion is worth 40 XP and a reply is worth 15 XP. Reactions to your posts add you a few XP on top.
Coming back. For a daily check-in you gain 5 XP. Seven days in a row bring a 50 XP bonus, while 30 days in a row grant you with 300 XP.
Registration and choosing your prize casino in your profile also count towards your first level.
Five tiers from Rookie to Legend
The 50 levels are grouped into five tiers:

Your tier is the part that matters most. Each one raises the multiplier applied to the XP earned by you from actions, so the same casino review that gives 150 XP to a Rookie brings 300 XP to a Legend.
The first levels come quickly, and the gaps grow as you climb. Your level is based on the XP you've earned over the lifetime of your account, so taking a break doesn't cost you your progress.
Quests show you what to do next
The new Player Experience block turns XP into a short list of things to do right now. Each line links straight to the right page, whether that's the tournament lobby, the casino reviews or the forum.
There are three kinds of quests to pass:
- Starter quests walk new users through the basics: play your first tournament, rate a casino you've played at, write your first gambling review and post your first forum reply. Complete the Rookie Kickstart and get extra 100 XP.
- Weekly quests reward a bit of regular activity, such as writing two casino reviews this week (+150 XP), reviewing three games you’ve played (+125 XP), replying in three tournament threads (+75 XP), starting a new discussion (+100 XP), playing two tournament sessions (+100 XP), rating five games (+50 XP) or checking in on five days (+75 XP).
- Everyday activities like writing a casino review or replying in the forum stay on the list so there's always something to do for you.
Quest rewards are paid on top of the normal XP for each action, and progress updates with your post or review going live. Note that weekly quests reset every Monday.
Access to tournaments
Below the quests, the new Tournament Access block lists the tournaments open to you at the moment, each with a Play button that takes you straight to the board.
The same block is built for tournaments reserved for higher tiers. When an event requires an unreached tier from you, it is shown how much XP is still to be opened instead of a Play button. Locked tournaments stay visible, so you always know what you are to work towards.
Every other detail on our tournaments stays the same. They run at CasinoCanada.com, which you have to visit, then you play with virtual credits, and win prizes which are credited as a partner casino’s bonus you've chosen in your profile, once you're verified there.
XP has to be earned, not farmed
XP can't be bought, traded or transferred, it can only be earned.
The reviews and forum posts still go live straight away, but XP is only awarded when the text passes a few automatic checks, e.g. a minimum length, one review per casino or game, and no copies of the already posted one. Daily limits apply to reviews, posts and smaller actions like ratings and reactions.
XP earned by breaking these rules can be removed, and your level and tier are recalculated in this regard. One account per person is still a must, as set out in our tournament terms.
Why we built it?
Earlier this year, we wrote about moving CasinoCanada beyond the traditional affiliate model of casino lists, bonus tables and one-time search visits. That shift included the redesigned homepage, free social tournaments and My Account features.
The Levels are the next piece. Most of what makes a casino guide trustworthy comes from its community, be it honest reviews from real players, answers on the forum, or players who come back to compete. The Levels give a visible reward to that regular activity, while the registered users have a reason to pick up where they left off.
