1. Wild Swarm 2 has performed fantastically well in Ontario, rated as one of the top games in the market. What do you believe has led to its success?
I’d put the game’s success in Canada down to the fact that Wild Swarm 2 is such a simple title! We know from our own research and experience offering content in Ontario that players crave content that’s easy to play, much like they’re used to with land-based games. I’d also say that the collection mechanic is a huge reason that this game has performed so well, we’ve had great feedback on this and know that people love the thrill of working towards the bonus games.
2. What improvements did Push Gaming make to Wild Swarm 2 to ensure it eclipsed its popular predecessor Wild Swarm?
The game has a lot in common with the original Wild Swarm, but with this title, we approached the Sticky Wilds mechanic in an entirely new way. This time we introduced Reel Multipliers which offers a whole load of winning potential, as well as working in perfect harmony with all of the other gameplay elements that we’ve included in the game.
3. Just how important is it that Push Gaming develops new games such as Wild Swarm 2 that meet player preferences in the key markets such as Canada?
Ultimately we create our games for a wider audience as opposed to specific players in specific markets. However, most of our key markets share similarities when it comes to player preferences, so we do put a lot of stock into making sure each game meets those. So yes, ultimately research into which features and mechanics will work for a certain is incredibly important, even if each game isn’t catered towards a specific country.
4. What other Push Gaming games perform well amongst Canadian players?
The two games that have always performed spectacularly amongst Canadian players are Razor Shark and its follow-up Razor Returns. Every week is shark week in Ontario!
5. Which upcoming titles can Canadian players look forward to in the coming months?
I think The Grand Show is quite a fitting title for the Canadian market, due to the classic instant prize collection mechanic and a variety of bonus games. In addition to this, we have Razor Ways, which we are extremely excited about! It’s quite different from its predecessors, but will have plenty of familiar mechanics… So keep an eye out for that one Canada!
