We’ll cover everything, from strategies for building long-term relationships with affiliate partners to the Peter’s paramedic role for employees.

Q&A

Our in-depth discussion with Peter revealed the market conditions for the brand to enter the iGaming sphere successfully and the daily challenges that the team encounters.

Q: Hello! Introduce please yourself to our readers and tell us a bit about your journey and how you got involved with Gypsy Partners?

A: Quite frankly, my journey at Gypsy Partners started 11 months ago and has been the best experience of my career so far. Before this, I was managing dental practices in Lithuania and Germany – yeah, I know, from teeth to traffic. It’s not the most obvious leap, but it turns out courage and a good sense of humour can take you far.

The owners at Gypsy Partners didn’t just open the door – they flung it wide open, rolled out the red carpet, and said, "Welcome to the circus!" From day one, I felt supported by everyone, from the team to the stakeholders and even our partners. In just under a year, I’ve gone from newbie to team lead, learning the ins and outs of this crazy, fast-paced industry.

What do I love most? This business is like a game of Tetris on hard mode – things shift constantly, and just when you think you’ve got it, a curveball comes your way. But that’s what keeps me hooked. As I say: "In iGaming, you blink, and suddenly you’re the new kid again – and I LOVE IT!"

Q: What does a typical day look like for you as a Growth Team Lead at Gypsy Partners?

A: Typical day? Oh, that’s funny – there’s nothing typical about it! Every day brings something new, and I thrive on unpredictability. My role is a bit like being a paramedic for the team – always on call, ready to jump in and fix things at a moment's notice. Need a tracking link at midnight? I’m your boy. Forgot your login? Let me help you remember... again.

Most days, I’m balancing partner needs, team goals, and company strategy. Whether it’s a deep dive into analytics, brainstorming campaigns, or putting out fires, I’m all in. Let’s just say I’ve made friends with my coffee machine – it’s my co-pilot in this 24/7 adventure.

Q: As an Affiliate Manager, how do you approach building long-term relationships with affiliate partners?

A: It’s all about playing the long game. Relationships are the backbone of this industry, and I believe in keeping things real. I get to know my partners, their goals, and what makes them tick. And then, I make sure we’re building something together, which feels mutually beneficial.

I’m big on transparency and staying connected – sometimes that’s a performance report, and other times it’s just a casual catch-up to ask, “Hey, how’s life treating you?” If you treat people with respect and genuinely care about their success, they’ll stick with you. My partners taught me so much, and I cannot be grateful enough for this!

Q: Gypsy Partners operates in competitive markets like online gambling. What strategies do you use to stand out in such a saturated environment?

A: Let’s face it: standing out in iGaming is like being the loudest kid in a playground full of extroverts – it takes effort. At Gypsy Partners, we focus on:

  • Innovation: We’re always looking for creative ways to attract traffic. Think outside the box, but also know where the box is.
  • Data-Driven Decisions: If the numbers don’t agree, we don’t do it – well, sometimes!
  • Personalized Support: Every partner is different, so we tailor our approach to make them feel like VIPs (because they are).

But mostly, it’s about being authentic. We’re here to build partnerships, not just transactions. Oh, and a little humour never hurts; people remember you when you make them laugh!

Q: With a portfolio of many brands, how do you prioritize your efforts in managing multiple affiliate relationships across various products and markets?

A: Prioritization is my superpower. I start by analyzing what brings the biggest impact. If it sparks ROI, it gets my attention. Gypsy has over 12 brands in the most competitive markets, thus I indeed try my best to keep them all occupied.

Balancing everything requires a mix of strategy and matcha. I use data to guide my decisions, delegate when I can, and make sure no partner feels forgotten. And hey, when in doubt, I remind myself: Rome wasn’t built in a day, but I bet their project manager gave it a good shot!

Q: What are the biggest challenges you face in affiliate marketing, especially in the iGaming industry, and how do you overcome them?

A: Where do I start? The iGaming industry keeps you on your toes with challenges like:

  • Regulations: When you think you’ve mastered compliance, a new rule drops. It’s like playing a never-ending game of Monopoly with ever-changing rules.
  • Traffic Quality: Not all clicks are created equal. Ensuring partners bring the right audience is a constant battle.
  • Competition: The market is crowded, and everyone’s shouting, “Pick me!”

How do I handle it? By staying flexible, creative, and well-informed. Plus, having a good team makes all the difference – when we tackle challenges together, nothing feels impossible.

Q: How do you stay up-to-date with industry trends and adapt your affiliate marketing strategy accordingly?

A: I’m basically a sponge for information. Since I do not drink, it helps me to stay alert and talk to as many people as possible at conferences. Staying curious is key – when you think you’ve learned it all, that’s when you fall behind.

Also, I’m not afraid to experiment. Sometimes the best way to stay ahead is to take a risk and try something new. If it works, great! If it doesn’t, well, that’s a story for next year’s conference.

Q: How do Gypsy Partners maintain transparency and trust with its affiliate partners, especially considering the varying regulations in different countries?

A: Trust is everything in this business. We’re upfront with our partners about what we can offer and what’s expected. Our reporting is clear, our contracts are solid, and we don’t hide behind jargon.

When regulations change, we don’t just adapt – we bring our partners along for the ride, keeping them informed every step of the way. It’s about being proactive and making sure everyone feels confident in the partnership.

Q: Looking ahead, what trends do you predict will shape the future of affiliate marketing in iGaming, and how is Gypsy Partners preparing for these changes?

A: At Gypsy Partners, we’re not just preparing for the future – we’re shaping it. With our "future-seeing abilities," a few aces hidden in our pockets, and the confidence to adapt to anything, we’ll be leading the pack while others are still trying to read the tea leaves.

As we like to say: "Why predict the future when you can create it? But hey, predicting it is also kind of our thing." 😊
