Jevgenijs 'The Hurricane' Aleksejevs is fighting in the middleweight division in Spain, hoping to mark his first time fighting outside of Latvia in style.
The exciting 30-year-old power-hitter is getting his chance thanks to some impressive career victories, including a win over former WBA interim middleweight title contender Sergey Khomitsky.
He will take on Dimitri Trenel, a French fighter with three defeats in his last four bouts. The action will take centre stage on 5th August at the Holiday World Resort in Benalmádena, which hosts eight fights, featuring 16 professionals.
Topping the card is double Spanish lightweight and super lightweight champion Samuel Molina (25 wins, three defeats) facing Ignacio Mendoza (44 wins, 14 losses, three draws) in the welterweight category.
Other fights on the card include:
- A middleweight eight-rounder between Ayoub Elfahmi (7-1-0) and Christopher Mena (4-6-3).
- A super middleweight clash between José Luis Navarro (8-1) and former Spanish champion José Manuel L. Clavero (16-21-1).
- A light heavyweight bout between Sweden's Constantin Nangas (9-0-0) and Nicaraguan Roberto Arriaza (19-7-0).
